Develop Psychic Abilities Lesson 2 - Concentration
You may think that you are able to concentrate quiet well and you may in fact be better than average at keeping your mind focused on a single thought or subject. But as you learn to develop psychic abilities, you will often find the need to be focused on an incoming bit of psychic information, while still needing to keep the car under control, or carry on a conversation with a co-worker.
In its deepest form, extreme concentration is much like going into a trance. When you can completely block out all external sounds and block sensations from your body and can remain with your thoughts concentrated on a single dot of color on a wall for 5, 10 even 30 minutes, then you will understand the depth of concentration I am speaking of.
As you will see in lesson 4, learning to develop psychic abilities involves being able to read the energy of people, places and things. This energy is a very fine energy. It is not something you can see like a spark arching from a power line, or feel like the hum of an energy, but it is energy and all energy can be measured, even if we do not have the tools capable of do it just yet.
Every thought that has ever been had by anyone that has ever been alive. Every word that has ever been spoken by anyone. All of this and much more still exists on an energy level because energy never dies.
As you learn to develop psychic abilities, you will be focusing on 1 single strand of energy from among the billions and trillions out there and it is not always a convenient times where you start to pick up on a specific strand. You then have to decide if you are going to follow that energy or leave it alone, knowing there is no guarantee you will pick up on the specific energy trail again.
If you are sitting at home watching TV, it is probably a no brainer. Just grab hold and see where it takes you. But if you are driving down the road you may be faced with a choice. Let go and lose it, or follow it while you are driving and it takes a special type of concentration to remain focused on one item and alert to something else at the same time.
To add insult to injury, our world has become so complicated that it is hard to stay focused on anything for more than 2 seconds at a time, before something or someone grabs our attention away.
This web site is dedicated to help people develop psychic abilities and will we be expanding the number of tests and exercises available to help you learn to work with your personal abilities.
We strongly suggest, no matter how good you think your concentration abilities are, put some time each week into making them stronger.
If you are not around a computer and all else fails, literally put a small dot of color on a white wall in front of you and see how long you can keep your concentration on that dot. Do not allow any other thoughts to come into your mind. Don't think about why it is there, don't think about what it could be, just focus on the dot, as it is, without allowing anything to interfere with your concentration.
Most people can not make it 2 minutes without something coming into their mind other than the dot. It may be a feeling of discomfort from the chair they are sitting in, or a pet wanting attention. But when you have truly honed your concentration abilities to pin point accuracy, you will be able to maintain your focus, even when outside influences try to take your attention away.
It is not as easy as it sounds, but remember the old adage, practice makes perfect. Keep working at it and you will find your abilities to concentrate get better and better.
Meditation is an extremely good tool for helping you to develop your ability to concentrate. Any type of meditation will do, just make sure you do not fall asleep while practicing, lol.
No one can force you to concentrate on anything. However if you truly want to develop psychic abilities as much as possible, you will practice fairly regularly because those that can concentrate the best, make the best psychics.
