Much like the western zodiac signs, the study of Chinese astrology signs is a very deep subject that takes years to fulls master and learn all the aspects of it and is far beyond the scope of this article, however we can get a basic idea of a person based solely on the Chinese astrology signs they were born under.

The Rat

The first of the Chinese astrology signs is the rat. Those born under this sign are very hard working and are known for getting things done, but can easily become so absorbed with obtaining success that they can be opportunist if they are not careful.

Their perfectionist nature often makes them hard to work with, but unless their goals of financial success overtake them, they are loyal and successful in their work environment.

The Ox

The second sign of the Chinese Astrology signs is the Ox, the hardest works of all the signs. Much like and Ox those born this sign tend to take on a heavy load and enjoy it in the process.

Ox people must be careful however, their dogged determination is great when they have made a good decision on the path they are on, but when they are mistaken and have made a wrong turn it is almost impossible to get them to admit it and change directions.

The Tiger

Much like a real Tiger, those born under the Chinese Astrology sign of the Tiger can be calm when needed and suddenly turn to jump on something that wanders too close. They are born leaders and will gladly go where no man has gone before but must be careful to avoid being caught in situations where they simply can not make up their minds on which way to proceed.

They make good mates and will stand up to protect those they love, but be prepared for their flights of fancy because you never know when they will be off on the next big adventure.

The Rabbit

The 4th of the Chinese Astrology signs is the rabbit. They tend to be kind and in many cases quiet lovable types of people who are calm, kind and sensitive to the needs of others around you.

Rabbits tend to be fashionista's who have great tastes in clothes, home furnishings and art, but they must be careful that their desire for peace does not turn into a love of too much comfort are they can become lazy.

The Dragon

The 5th of the Chinese Astrology Signs is the Dragon. Those born under this sign are constantly reaching for the stars and usually find exactly what they are reaching for. They tend to be flamboyant, full of self confidence and natural leaders. They must be careful however that they do not become tyrannical or run their mouths to the point of turning people against them. Those that can not control this aspect of their personality are in danger of becoming all talk and no action.

The Snake

The 6th in the Chinese Astrology Signs is the Snake. Snake people tend to be quiet yet at the same time, they are known for the deep wisdom and understanding they possess. They lover to learn and will gladly share their knowledge with others, but rarely do they share much of their personal lives with friends and co-workers preferring to keep to themselves that information.

Where love is concerned, snake people tend to be jealous and rarely handle rejection in a calm manner.

The Horse

The 7th of the Chinese Astrology signs is the horse. Horse people love to move and are often found in jobs that require physical abilities. They prefer to work alone and are more than capable of completing the task at hand.

Horse have a high energy level and can run (or work) circles around most others but be careful that they lover of running free like a wild horse does not cause you to jump to conclusions or be impatient with others or your rebelliousness could cause you trouble.

The Sheep

The 8th of the Chinese Astrology signs is the sheep, often called the sign of the ram of goat. These shy people tend to be sensitive and sweet and are by far the most artistic or creative of all the signs.

Sheep tend to be disorganized and are often worriers who seek out peace and calmness. Rarely seen in large boisterous crowds, sheep people are much more at home taking long walks in the countryside and picnicking by a stream.

The Monkey

Next on our journey through the Chinese Astrology signs is the Monkey. Usually cheerful, curious and full of life energy, they tend to have many friends and are born problem solvers. Be careful however that you do not let the fact that not everyone will go along with everything you say, cause that nasty little temper of yours to boil over, even if you do get over it quickly.

Monkeys are known for being able to solve problems that have stumped many others, but they are fickle and unless a project grabs their attention immediately, they tend to wonder off in another direction and rarely make it back to the original problem.

The Rooster

Next in line in the Chinese Astrology signs is the Rooster. Much like a rooster that struts around the barnyard knowing he is the king of the hen house, those born under the sign of the rooster tend to be on the boastful side and always think they are right. You might do well to listen to them however because they tend to be right more often than not.

Roosters tend to be analytical, quick to catch things that might get by others, and are noted for trying to keep those around them happy.

The Dog

Next to the last in the Chinese Astrology signs is the dog. Faithful and true, a dog is your best friend, always there when you need them. but dog people can be born worriers and when worry gets the best of them, they tend to bite before they bark.

Dog people tend to have a strong sense of honor, justice and fair play and will often speak out against injustices in the world.

The Pig

Last but not least on this journey through the Chinese Astrology signs is the pig. Honest, trustworthy, overly optimistic, curious and tolerant of others, Pig people tend to shy away from quarrels and must be careful that others do not take advantage of their good nature.

Most pigs love to learn and are knowledgeable in many subjects, but generally tend to keep that knowledge to themselves and are never boastful of it. At the same time however, when with friends and co-workers they will gladly talk for hours on subjects they are knowledgeable about.
