Article Swap
If you have a web site, you have probably worked hard to get your site into the search engines as close to the top as it can be and you know that you have got to have in bound links to get anywhere near the top of the search engines. Almost since the beginning to the internet, one of the better ways of getting in bound links was to swap links with other sites.
At one point in time, it was strictly the number of in bound links that mattered and it was not unusual to have link pages with thousands of links, most of which had nothing to do with the topic the site was about. Thankfully, it did not take long for the search engines to realize that and changes were made to put a quality score on the links coming into your site. Simply put, some links were worth more than others.
No one know 100% for sure what the exact formula Google uses in their sear4ch algorythm, but the SEO experts have done a pretty good job of figuring out bits and pieces of what makes a good in bound link. For the most part, the link should come from a page that has information of a similar nature to your site. In other words, my psychic site would not get a lot of benefit from a car mechanics site. Also, links from within the actual site text are better than those placed on a link page with a bunch of other links. It is not a matter of a link page causing your site harm, but links within the main text simply rate better.
This is one of the reasons article marketing has done so much to improve the number of in bound links to a site which is why the article directories do so well. But even article marketing has its problems, because you end up with the exact same text on dozens or even hundreds of web sites and Google does not like duplicate text.
So the latest and greatest was of getting in bound links is to do article swaps with sites similar to yours. The concept is very easy to unders. You simply find a site similar to yours and offer to write and article specifically for their site if they will do the same for you.
You can have the resource box at the bottom of the article with links back to your site and you can even deep link into your site which is even better. Most site owners also don't mind if you also include one of two links from within the text is you specific keyword is part of the text, but make sure you don't over do this. You really don't need more than 2 or 3 links from any one page to your site or Google might think you are link spamming. If you do add more than one link, make sure each link is to a different specific page of your site and you should be fine.
Swap articles with us
If you have a site that covers topics similar to those covered on this site, I will be glad to write an article for your site if you will write one for mind.
The days of 250 word articles are over with and Google looks down on those. For the most part 600 to 1000 word articles work best. I usually aim for 800 to 1000 word articles.
If you would like to swap article, decide what keyword you would like to write on and use our Help Desk to send me your keyword and the URL of your site. If I agree that swapping article would be advantageous to both of us, I will email you back and we can start writing. Also let me know where on your site you plan on putting my article, see below for more information.
One more thing, to provide benefit to both of us, the articles should be available within 1 or 2 clicks from the main page of the site, preferrably just one click. If you provide me a link from your main page, I will provide you a link from my main page.
Hope to hear from your soon!
